A 70-year-old Beaumont woman could be charged on Thursday with aggravated assault after firing a handgun during a fight over shrimp. The suspect and a 23-year-old woman were having a heated dispute on Wednesday afternoon when the older women allegedly went to her vehicle and pulled out a small caliber handgun, said Sgt. Rob Flores with the Beaumont Police Department. Flores said multiple gunshots were fired inside an apartment, located at Dolores and Elmira. Neither of the women are residents of the apartment complex.
