The trooper said she repeatedly bribed him to let her off the DUI charge and even offered him $3,000. "Who knows if she would have made this if she was completely sober," Montes said. "But the fact of the matter is, but it is never a good thing to be so inebriated that you cannot control what is going on." Anderson is charged with felony bribery, as well as the DUI. "It is not often that we hear someone trying to do that," Montes said. "But once it's said, we clearly identify that that is against the law. Maybe it was a mistake or they were joking. But again if someone was to continually make that offering, it's an attempted bribery of a law enforcement officer and it is against the law."
